Personalize It

3/16/2011

Have you ever attended a wedding and you go home feeling you almost know the newly-wedded couple, even if you are only an acquaintance of the parents? It gives us a nice feeling.

That's another aim for us - personalizing your event. Personalizing does not only mean putting your names or initials in all of your items. It does not end with your picture in every printed item. These are only skin deep.

What we want to achieve for you - having your favorite food in the menu, your favorite color as the motif. We want you to hear your music, see what you like, eat what you crave, drink a familiar wine, feel the mood.

This sense of you will touch your guests.

Own It

Some clients come to us asking what are the current trends in motif & theme. We give them our internet answers. The color/s of the year, what's malas . . . Others give us a litany of some celebrity couple and what they did for their wedding and they want that, too. If we are familiar with that wedding, we engage in a short "entertainment/showbiz news". If not, the client tells us to search the internet because the wedding was "nice". A few talk about local "engrande" weddings that they've seen in the FB account of some photographer. If we did the wedding, we tell them. If not, the client would inquire if we're friends with the photographer.

WE DO NOT ENCOURAGE ANY OF THE ABOVE. We indulge them a wee bit but we eventually ask the bride "What is your dream wedding"? What do you want? What is your favorite color? What is your favorite thing in the world?

Because at the end of the day, this is your wedding. What's a wedding if this is not yours? We will help you achieve YOUR WEDDING . . .

The Right Choice

When prospective clients meet us, we always encouraged them to talk to other planners, too. This is because we have always believed the planner & the client, as they will be seeing each other more often than the other suppliers, must establish a comfortable relationship, coupled with trust.

Others think this is weird. If a client comes to you, make sure they will stay with you. That's not our main concern. Our priority is to make sure the client chooses based on their gut feel, that feeling that makes you think - This is who we want. In the end, this is a happy choice. Happy choices make for a happy and successful event.
